Local 872 members show their support for the Las Vegas Raiders during a city council meeting.
When walking down the Las Vegas strip all of your senses are piqued. The flashing lights signaling Las Vegas’ newest resident performer illuminate the desert sky, the sound of lucky visitors winning the jackpot make your ears ring, Elvis and Zach Galifianakis from “The Hangover” are dressed up on the sidewalks posing for pictures while tourists walk around sipping their meter long margaritas. It electrifies the air, and makes Vegas… well, Vegas.
However, there was something missing. A football team. A unifying entity for the 600,000-plus full-time residents of Las Vegas besides living in the City of Sin.
